Books and Stuff

I finished a book I had started reading before fall semester started. I finished this the first week of my break. It's called Starting Out in the Evening it's by Brian Morton. I did not have much left and after a while of not having read it I thought I would not remember anything but it all came back to me. The ending disappointed me as do many endings in the books. I just never want some to end. I usually want to know what happens next. I get very involved as was the case with this book.

You know that saying never judge a book by its cover? Well it is true but I do it anyway. The book has to have an interesting cover or title for it to grab my attention. I think it is very crucial for me. Once it has my attention I pick it up and read the summary if I'm not satisfied with that I end up reading a couple of the first pages. Many good books have found their way to me like that. Like the current book I am reading, Midnight Birds. I bought it at the book sale the library on campus was having. A good looking book, smells old, and seems full of promise. I will have to get a picture of it so I can post it.



I have a few other books that I "plan" on reading. We will see if I get to them all. I do not have that many but one is big and a hard read.

Now as for the stuff I have going on besides the books I am organizing things in my room. I have moved furniture around and I'm thinking about doing it again. I have a lot of cleaning to do. Organizing my closet etc. That is always fun (not). It is something that must get done because when school comes around I will feel like doing it even less. Fingers crossed that I get into gear and finish my cleaning.

Oh one more thing that I wanted to mention. I have been thinking for a while about starting another blog. That does not mean I am going to stop this one but the other one is going to be different from this. I will not say what it will be about because I'm not sure if I will or will not do it yet.

Like Minded Individuals

Does anyone know of a way to find like minded individuals on Blogger? I seem to be having a bit of trouble with it. My method is time consuming and only I only found one blog that interests me. Maybe this is the only way to do it on blogger. I went to the help section and found nothing so now I am turning to you. What I have been doing is clicking the link that says next blog at the top of my blog but that has to be the least efficient way ever of finding anything you like. So if anyone knows of a better way please do tell.

Winter Break

So winter break is officially here for me. I am looking for something to do while I am on vacation from school. I had this wonderful thought, blog again.

I'm hoping I write a few things on my blog.

I always end up wanting to do too much at once that I never finish doing some things that I want to do. My plans so far for this winter break: read, draw, paint and blog. We will see how it all works out for me.

Wow

It's been months since I last posted anything new on here. I'm amazed that I even remembered my password. It's interesting to see that my last post was about me starting school and not having time to blog about anything. Well it's that time of year again August 16th is the day I go back to school. I loved my summer break, I really enjoyed not having to do anything. It feels like I haven't had enough of a summer break.

The school year went well for me. I am proud of myself because I did well. My biggest problem still is procrastination. It's a tough obstacle to overcome. I really need to work on that. I loved the drawing class that I took in the fall, it helped me get back into things. I really should draw more though. I haven't sketched anything since then which is really sad now that I think of it. Art was something that I always needed in my life. It was my pass time. I was always sketching and now nothing. It's like what happened? I think I need to find a way for me to feel that way about art again. I want that "need" that I used to have for art. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy art very much, I love looking at it and sit in awe of what people do but for some reason I can't get myself to create. I feel I have created obstacles for myself, self made obstacles I can't seem to get over. Maybe one day I will feel like that again.

Hello everyone, I do hope you haven't completely forgotten about me. I just started school again (college) and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I want to get back into blogging so hopefully I will update with interesting things. I am taking a drawing class this semester so maybe I will show you things I work on in there. I will probably update once weekly or biweekly depending on if I have time, so please don't give up on me.

Hi everyone I know I haven't been around for a while, sorry about that. I just wanted to let you know that everything is well and I will soon get to my usual postings. I hope my blog just gets better and that you will enjoy what I have to show you.
